	T. Flavius Vespasianus was born at Falacrina in AD 9 the son of Flavius Sabinus – a tax collector. He commanded part of the forces which invaded Britain under Claudius. In AD 67 Nero appointed him to quell the Jewish rebellion. He died at Reate on June 24^th AD 79.
