This book is in brand new condition it is a rteprint, it is written by Johnathan Pittaway. The Long Range Desert Group was established in 1940 to carry out long range recconaissance behind enemy lines in the deserts of Libya. At the start it was formed mostly by New Zealanders it was later expanded to selected volenteers of the UK and Rhodesia. They began as recconaissance but with the gaining knowledge and familiarity of the desert the soon turned to harrass the enemy. They had a major hand in the soon coming offensive by Montgomerys and his 8th army. The LRDG were the for runner of todays SAS and the Commandos. A brilliant book with plenty photos and information for WW 2 enthusiasts.
